Colors and depictions of spring permeated the red carpet of the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 on Friday, April 4, as most of its illustrious attendees—comprised of Kapamilya artists and executives, as well as other special and very important guests—dressed up in fabulous gowns, tailored suits, and avant-garde costumes that adhere to this year’s “spring formal” motif.

The star-studded, glamorous celebration held at the Solaire Resort North in Quezon City was commenced by main hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Edward Barber as they welcomed everyone watching via livestream on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s official YouTube channel, iWantTFC, and TFC-IPTV. They were joined by Metro.Style editor-in-chief Geolette Esguerra, Metro.Style beauty editor Kate Paras-Santiago, and celebrity makeup artist and beauty influencer Jake Galvez as they broke down some of the looks that they were yet to see. Gretchen Fullido was also there to interview some of the stars that walked the red carpet, as well as MJ Felipe, who was assigned to the holding area.

For the opening salvo of the red carpet special, MJ got the chance to catch up with power couple Coco Martin and Julia Montes, who attended the Ball together for the second time. They imparted what makes them proud about being Kapamilyas, as well as the things they were looking forward for the night.

Clad in their colorful suits, the members of the up-and-rising Pinoy Pop boyband WRIVE were the first ones to step onto the red carpet bedecked with hedge walls and flowers that differ in different shapes, sizes, and colors. They were followed by the slew of their fellow newcomers and young artists, with ABS-CBN big bosses President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO Cory V. Vidanes, and Chairman Mark L. Lopez, as well as Coco and Julia, capping off the first gap of the red carpet special.

Dominating the second segment were the ex-housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11,” who made sure to show up in their best looks since it is their first time to attend the prestigious gala. The third part, meanwhile, was populated by the cast of the top-rating primetime series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” such as Charo Santos. Andrea Brillantes, John Estrada, Cherry Pie Picache, Angel Aquino, Michael de Mesa, Susan Africa, McCoy de Leon, and Pen Medina. It was succeeded by the surge of other promising young male and female Star Magic artists, as well as personalities from ABS-CBN News, Star Cinema, Star Music, and other subsidiaries.

More stars paraded in the latter part of the red carpet special, which included “Tawag ng Tanghalan” champions, “ASAP” mainstays, stars of Kapamilya primetime teleseryes “Incognito” and “Saving Grace,” BGYO, BINI, the judges of “Pilipinas Got Talent,” and the “It’s Showtime” family.

While the majority of the celebrity attendees went solo, like Nadine Lustre, Kathryn Bernardo, Maris Racal, Daniel Padilla, Vhong Navarro, Maymay Entrata, Janine Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, and Anne Curtis, there were others who walked down the red carpet with their significant others. Among them were Martin Nievera and his long-time non-showbiz partner Anj Del Rosario, Gary Valenciano and wife Angeli Pangilinan, Angeline Quinto and husband Nonrev Daquina, Nikki Valdez and husband Luis Garcia, Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas, and Sofia Andres and partner Daniel Miranda.

Celebrity real-life sweethearts like James Reid and Issa Pressman, Juan Karlos and 2025 Reina Hispano-Americana Dia Mate, Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon, Sue Ramirez and Dominic Roque, Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte, Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing, and Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson surely delighted everyone with their presence together.

Of course, our favorite Kapamilya loveteams—Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin, KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, and Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino—were also present and filled the venue with kilig as they marched on the red carpet hand-in-hand.

It was Unkabogable Phenomenal Star Vice Ganda who was the last one to appear on the red carpet, stunning us with her eye-catching colorful ensemble.

The hosts and commentators capped off the red carpet special by naming the celebrities whose visuals stood out the most for them and sharing a toast before the livestream ended.

True to its catchphrase, “Brighter Together,” the ABS-CBN Ball 2025 indeed lit up not just because of the celebrities and other very important persons who came in attendance, but also because of its meaningful pursuit of extending help to the less fortunate by donating some of the proceeds to the ABS-CBN Foundation.
