When you’re part of the "It’s Showtime" family, chances are you've got a natural talent for cracking jokes. Because in this team, someone’s always ready with a funny 'hirit.'

But if there’s one member who constantly ends up getting picked on, it's none other than Ryan Bang, whose jokes often get busted even before he can land the punchline. Still, the 'pambabasag' itself stays 'havey' with the Madlang People.

It’s almost become a habit among the "It’s Showtime" hosts to break Ryan's jokes. It all started during "Showtime Sexy Babe" segment when he asked, “Anong ulam ang puwede na?” and Jhong Hilario guessed the answer, “okoy,” which sounds like “okay.” Poor Ryan just accepted his fate and said he even lost sleep thinking about that joke, only for Jhong to ruin it.

Sometimes, it even becomes a full-on team effort. Jhong, Vice Ganda, and Vhong Navarro would ‘gang up’ on Ryan’s punchlines, like that time he asked, “Bakit walang umaga at gabi sa Japan?” Jhong quickly replied, “Kasi puro Hapon,” playing on the word 'hapon' which also means "afternoon." Refusing to back down, Ryan threw in a follow-up, “Ano ang tawag sa mga kasambahay sa Japan?” And just like that, Jhong answered, “Maid in Japan.” Boom. Basag! 

Ryan’s fighting spirit was still going strong when he asked, “Ano ang tawag sa bibe na babae?” Vice jumped in with “bibe girl," which, was actually a recycled joke, but Ryan must’ve forgotten it due to the pressure.

At one point, he jestingly got frustrated when his joke, “Anong klaseng langka ang mag-isa?” was decoded right away—“langka-sama.” He tried to recover with one he thought no one could crack, “Anong prutas ang masayang nagsa-slide?” But when Jhong answered “kiwiiii,” Ryan looked like he was about to cry. As his final move, he threw shade and asked, “Sino sa Showtime hosts ang masama ang ugali?” Then answered it himself, “Si Kuya Jhong," because Jhong always kills his punchline. 

In another episode, Ryan didn’t expect Vice Ganda to instantly get the answer to his joke, “Anong noodles ang pangit ang lasa?” Vice said, “yakisoba,” pronouncing it as “yucky soba.” Ryan tried to bounce back, “Ano ang katabi ng USA?” but Jhong once again beat him to it with “USB.”

The 'oppa' had sweat a little when he dropped his dialogue, “Anong itlog ang hindi pinapansin?” only for Jhong to fire back, "egg-nore," a pun on “egg” and “ignore.” At that point, Ryan could only laugh and wonder if Jhong had been spying on the group chat where he and Ion Perez brainstorm joke ideas.

And in another joke session, there was nothing he could do but hit the gong in defeat when his joke, “Anong sakit ang hindi nalalaman?” was spoiled—what else but “sick-ret” (as in secret). Even Ogie Alcasid managed to steal Ryan's joke about a group of cats being called “pang-cat” (a pun on "pangkat").

There was also an episode when Ryan came in confident with a fresh batch of jokes, only for each one to get declared 'waley' as the punchlines were snatched one after the other. He asked, “Anong prutas ang makikita sa korte?” and the hosts answered “avogado," which is a clever mix of “avocado” and “abogado” (lawyer).
