In "Saving Grace: The Untold Story," we witness how Anna (Julia Montes), a devoted teacher, steps in to offer her student Grace (Zia Grace) protection and care. But as the series unfolds, we come to realize that it’s not just Grace who needs saving. Anna, too, is carrying a heavy burden, which stems from feeling unloved and unappreciated within her own family. While she tirelessly fights for Grace, it’s Anna who quietly struggles with her own emotional wounds, as shown in this Kapamilya Toplist scene compilation.

The video montage opens with a scene showing Helena (Janice De Belen) urging her eldest daughter, Anna, to attend the wedding of her sister, Princess (Majoy Apostol). However, Anna hesitates, feeling awkward about the situation. When Helena hands the phone over to Princess to convince Anna, Princess responds in her usual distant tone, saying that it’s perfectly fine if Anna chooses not to attend.

A flashback reveals the origin of the rift within the Sarmiento family. When Anna was a teenager, their father, Antonio (Gardo Versoza), tragically lost his life while rescuing her after she fell from a boat during a family trip to celebrate Princess' birthday at a resort. Antonio drowned while attempting to save Anna, and since that tragic event, Anna has been unable to gain forgiveness from Helena, Princess, or even their youngest sister, Erin (Sophia Reola), especially since it was her idea to explore the island on that day. This unresolved tension has persisted and further deepened the emotional divide within the family.

Because Anna felt responsible for Antonio's death and the financial struggles that followed, as the family had relied on him for their livelihood, she took it upon herself to bear the weight of both the blame and the responsibility to help her family survive. She approached Helena with the idea of converting their house into an inn to generate income. The teenage Anna took on everything herself, even tasks like hammering and installing signage, doing it all alone, even when she was running a fever. She continued working despite her sickness, driven by the belief that those around her made her feel as though she had to atone for the perceived sins she carried.

In another flashback scene, a guest caused a commotion inside one of the rooms. Helena panicked and, in her distress, remarked that they wouldn't have to endure such hardships if Antonio were still alive. This statement triggered Anna's emotional turmoil. In response, she took it upon herself to face the unruly guest. As the man appeared ready to attack Helena with a knife, Anna bravely stepped in, blocking the blow and taking the injury herself. Despite the wound, she didn't flinch or show pain. Instead, she turned to Helena and told her mother that no matter what happens, even if everyone blames her, she would accept it because she loves her deeply.

Back in the present, the tension between Anna and Princess remains unresolved, especially since Princess harbored deep jealousy toward Anna because of her close relationship with Antonio since they were kids. Princess reveals her bitterness, and her true character, when she openly expresses this animosity in front of her fiancé and his family during the "pamamanhikan" lunch, which Helena invited Anna to attend. Princess, unable to control her bitterness, begins to throw shade at Anna. Eventually, she confronts Anna directly in front of the entire family and their guests, calling her names such as "feeling special" and accusing her of being inconsiderate of others' feelings.

The situation escalates further when Princess nearly forces Anna out of their lives. She storms to the inn, ready to confront Anna. Wanting her sister to completely disappear from their lives, Princess offers to provide the money Anna needs to go abroad. Amid their heated argument, Princess hears a noise from Anna's room. She insists on investigating, and then discovers Grace hiding behind the door. This revelation only fuels the confrontation, as Princess, unwilling to back down, demands to know who the child is. The argument spirals, leading to Princess' miscarriage. And as a result of the miscarriage, Princess once again finds something to blame on Anna. She accuses her of being the cause of everything that has gone wrong and calls her a "curse" to the family.

Anna endures all these emotional wounds that never seem to heal, as her family constantly reopens them with their harsh words and criticisms. She carries the weight of their neglect and the painful words they throw at her, until she finally unleashes her pent-up emotions to Helena. She tells her mother that perhaps the reason she feels like she doesn't belong to the family is because she's adopted, and that it's not true that she's selfish. She explains that, all her life, especially after her father's death, she has devoted herself to them. Helena is too stunned to speak.
