At the time, she was planning to study abroad, but her mom, actress Jean Garcia, didn’t want them to be apart. Instead, her mom suggested that she try entering showbiz. The naturally shy Jennica was hesitant at first. She was only convinced when she found out how much money she could make as an actress.
