We’ve already met Andrea Brillantes' character, Fatima Benito, the loving daughter who would do anything for her family, in "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo." 

But how much of Fatima’s personality reflects the real Andrea? To give us a better overview of Fatima’s qualities and to see just how similar or different she is to her on-screen persona, Andrea played a fun "This or That" game where she had to choose whether a description fits herself in real life or Fatima in the series. 

When asked who between them is more willing to resort to desperate measures (kumapit sa patalim), the answer was pretty clear. Fatima has already shown in "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo" that she’s willing to go to extreme lengths for her family. She’s known in the series as a “mambubudol” who scams people just to help her loved ones financially. And when her brother needed money for surgery, she made the ultimate sacrifice by engaging in prostitution in one night just to save him.

While Andrea shares Fatima’s deep love and dedication to family, she admits she’s never been in a situation where she had to make such drastic choices. She doesn’t think she’d ever be able to resort to the same means as Fatima, no matter how tough life gets.

However, when it comes to being “madiskarte,” Andrea has the upper hand. She also came from humble beginnings, but she worked hard to uplift her family’s life in a legal and moral way instead of taking shortcuts. She believes that success comes from perseverance and making the right choices. “You reap what you sow,” as she puts it. And that, for her, is the best kind of "diskarte."

Of course, when it comes to being the “mambubudol” (trickster), it’s hands down Fatima! On this, Andrea pointed out a real-life example, saying she doesn’t need to scam people when selling products from her own makeup line because she genuinely believes in their quality. No need for sweet talk when the product speaks for itself. 

When asked who's more "kikay" (girly or fashion-forward), Andrea confidently claimed the title. But she also thinks that if Fatima had the resources, like the money to splurge on beauty and self-care, she would totally embrace her kikay side, too. After all, Fatima is younger, so she’d likely become just as obsessed with all things girly.

One thing they undeniably share, though, is their sweet and loving nature toward their family. Both Andrea and Fatima wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to their parents and siblings.

Overall, Andrea sees herself and Fatima as two women with strong "paninindigan" or convictions, especially when it comes to family. Their values and ways of doing things may differ, but at the end of the day, their hearts beat for the same purpose—to protect and provide for their loved ones.
