If we’re going to base it on the backgrounds and histories of the members of “Kontraks.” a.k.a. the lead stars of the ABS-CBN Studios action-drama series “Incognito” who comprise the elite private military company undertaking deadly missions that target criminal groups, there’s definitely no doubt that Tomas Guerrero, the character impressively portrayed by Anthony Jennings, is the odd one out. 

Compared to his crewmates, who are usually stern and reticent, Tomas tends to be goofy and frivolous even during those times when they need to be serious or they are in the midst of a crucial situation. He would often throw jokes or punchlines out of nowhere, which made his teammates JB (Richard Gutierrez), Andres (Daniel Padilla), Max (Kaila Estrada), Miguel (Baron Geisler), and Gab (Maris Racal) either annoyed or amused.

So, in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist, let us look back on 15 of the funny punchlines and shenanigans of Tomas that probably made us laugh.

Just on the pilot week of “Incognito,” we already got a hint of his playful personality through his interactions with his “Ninong” (Bembol Roco), whom he regards as his father. As he bade farewell to him after accepting JB’s offer for him to be part of their group and to partake in their first mission, he simply told him that he just needed to take a break from him and his job as a debt collector to the former’s little money-lending business.

He may not be as accomplished or as experienced as them—who were all dishonorably discharged from military service—since he wasn’t able to graduate from the military academy after being accused of stealing, yet Tomas is still able to keep up with them through his awesome combatting skills and striking wits. His hirits may often miss since his teammates were not always keen in bantering or playing along with him, but that never dimmed his sunny and bubbly personality. 

We get to further see this facet of him when he met Gab Rivera, the member of their group based in Cerdova, where they were able to finally capture powerful syndicate leader Timor Escalera (Art Acuña). It can be recalled that on their initial encounters, Tomas was highly flabbergasted to find out that, first, she wasn’t a local but a Filipina who was just fluent in Italian, and second, she wasn’t a spy or an enemy, as she turned out to be the last person to complete their line-up.

That unexpected encounter apparently brought them closer to each other, with Gab giving him the nickname “Tom G,” which he strongly refused since it sounded like he’s “patay gutom” or dead hungry, as well as asking him for any random stories that could help perk her up while they were guarding their headquarters. 

Anthony was able to further tickle viewers with the droll statements and behavior of Tomas while being interrogated by the cops following his arrest as he mistook him to be a criminal after retrieving bundles of cash inside his bag. Similarly, his funny interaction with his Ninong, who visited him at the police station, as they watched Gab speak to the police as his “lawyer,” surely brought good vibes as well.

Of course, who would forget the hilarious reaction of Tomas upon finding out that instead of a typical package, Gab actually wanted him to retrieve from their house were her two beloved dogs? Even though he seemed to be afraid of dogs, he still managed to take both of them out and bring them to Gab. 

And lastly, Tomas surely amused us when, aside from his strength and skills, he was also able to utilize his fart as a deadly weapon to distract and eventually defeat the minions of cult leader Rema Muñoz (Robert Seña), who deceived and attempted to kill him.
