Jennica Garcia’s acting prowess as seen in her appearances in ABS-CBN shows

Even though she’s the daughter of Jean Garcia, one of the esteemed veteran actresses in the local entertainment scene, Jennica Garcia has managed to carve her own path and make a name for herself through her own hardwork, determination, and talent.   

As we look forward to seeing the television airing of the highly talked about “Saving Grace: The Untold Story,” let us revisit her past acting gigs in ABS-CBN programs in this edition of Kapamilya Spotlight! 

She may have been in showbiz since 2007, but it was only in 2014 when she had her first acting stint in ABS-CBN via the legal drama anthology series “Ipaglaban Mo!” She touched hearts as Ana, a young woman yearning to be acknowledged by her father in the “Pagkilala ng Ama” episode.  

In 2016, she made a guest appearance in the primetime series “Magpahanggang Wakas” as Angel Faustino, the sole eyewitness to the death of the character named Jenna, played by Gelli de Belen.  

Jennica went on to have a busy 2017 as she scored not just one but three acting projects. The first one was the “Katotohanan” episode of “Ipaglaban Mo”, whose character Nery was the victim in a murder incident. She then had a special participation in the iconic Kapamilya teleserye “Wildflower” as the young adult counterpart of the antagonist Emilia Ardiente (Aiko Melendez). She once again appeared in “Ipaglaban Mo” via its “Pasada” episode, wherein she impressed us with her portrayal of Lorna, a wife who was eager to attain the justice that her deceased driver-husband deserved. 

Two years later, she had brief appearance in the daytime series “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit”  as the young adult counterpart of guest character, played by veteran actress Isay Alvarez. It was followed by her stint in the “Jacket” episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” wherein she endeared us as Cathy, the love interest of Empoy’s character Dong Corpuz, the taho vendor from University of the Philippines-Diliman whose inspiring story of kindness and perseverance went viral on social media.  

Just when Jennica was already considering working overseas in 2023, a huge blessing came to her in the form of the controversial revenge drama “Dirty Linen.” She was entrusted with the role of Lala Millado, the outgoing and spunky member of “Team Resbak” that shared the common goal of avenging the mysterious deaths of their loved ones.  

Another acting project was offered to her that same year, which was the iWantTFC original thriller-drama series “Fractured,” in which she took on the supporting role of Mira.  

While we adored the characters that she portrayed in Kapamilya series, she is arguably despised in “Saving Grace” as she portrays Sarah Banaag, the abusive and negligent mother of the titular character astoundingly played by award-winning child actress Zia Grace.  

Get ready to see a different version of Jennica Garcia in “Saving Grace: The Untold Story,” which is set to premiere this coming March 3, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
