His acting career may have only started more than five years ago, yet it was apparently already enough for Anthony Jennings to showcase his potentials as an actor and prove that he could indeed be the “next big thing” in showbiz.

While we’ve already seen his promising chops in comedy and drama in the past movies and series that he had starred in, many are surely delighted to see him take on action stunts in ABS-CBN Studios’ newest teleserye offering, “Incognito,” as he portrays Tomas Guerrero.

As we look forward to seeing more of him in the action-drama series, let’s recall his previous acting stints on television in this Kapamilya Update feature!

He was discovered by Star Magic through his commercials and was initially introduced as part of the Star Magic Circle 2019 alongside Belle Mariano, Gillian Vicencio, JC Alcantara, Jeremiah Lisbo, and Kyle Echarri.

It was in 2019 when he made his acting debut through his supporting role in the blockbuster hit movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” as the younger brother of Alden Richard’s character. Later that year, he started to work on his first-ever teleserye project—“Make It With You”—which was top-billed by Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. Even though it was short, Anthony still made an impression with his portrayal of Liza’s determined and cheerful cousin.

When filming restrictions amid the pandemic eased up in mid-2020, Anthony was among the actors who were blessed to continue working through the romantic comedy digital series “The House Arrest of Us,” which was headlined by former on-and-off-screen sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.

The year 2022 was indeed a busy one for him since he didn’t just work on one but five different acting projects. He was cast as supporting character Harvee in the Kapamilya sitcom “My Papa Pi,” which featured Piolo Pascual and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in starring roles.

Anthony then depicted the young Dave Estrella in the primetime romance-drama series “A Family Affair,” which was played by seasoned heartthrob Sam Milby. He then starred in the “Lost But Found” episode of “Love Bites,” an ABS-CBN Entertainment’s “Made For YouTube” anthology. Later that year, he was among the young lead stars of the miniseries, “Tara G!,” portraying the role of Rocky, the charming and dependable young member of a community of coffee farmers.

Before 2022 ended, he got cast in the action drama series “The Iron Heart,” through which he was able to exhibit his versatility as an actor. With his portrayal of supporting character Cronus Lopez, he was able to unleash his flair in drama, comedy, and action.

His biggest break came in 2023 when he played the lovable character of Snoop Manansala, the best buddy-slash-wingman of protagonist Bingo (Donny Pangilinan), in the hit series “Can’t Buy Me Love.” Viewers just couldn’t help but grow fond of how effortlessly funny he is even amidst challenges and crises, as well as how dependable, supportive, and caring a friend he is. Anthony further gained the admiration of the public through his unexpected team-up with Maris Racal, who served as his love interest Irene Tiu, giving birth to the well-loved “MaThon” loveteam.

And this year, he has been astonishing us with his skills in doing action stunts as Tomas Guerrero in the highly talked-about Kapamilya primetime action-drama series “Incognito,” while also continuing to endear us with his comedic and dramatic chops that we first admired about him.

Are you as excited as us to see more of Anthony Jennings’ promising performance in “Incognito”? Well, you better not dare miss an episode, weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5.
