In recent years, “It’s Showtime” has brought back some of its segments that the madlang people liked so much. Among those is “Ansabe,” which has been revived exactly a decade since it was initially launched in 2015.

Originally, the celebrity contestants must be able to guess the words being uttered by Ryan Bang, a.k.a. Prince Bang Hyun Sung, by simply watching the movement of his mouth through the monitor screen placed outside the studio. But for the present edition, they completely tweaked the mechanics of the game, for it is already the hosts who serve as the players. In each episode, the hosts are divided into two or three groups with two Showtime bulilits each. One of the kids serves as the bulilit reader who has to guess the words that his/her teammate-hosts and fellow Showtime kid pronounce.

Whichever team gets the highest points wins, while the losing team has to take on the punishment of crawling under the human tunnel that the winning team forms. While this portion is completely droll, the hosts actually have other antics and banters that truly made us laugh. And in this edition of Kapamilya Update, let’s look back on some of the funniest kulitan moments among the “It’s Showtime” hosts during this segment that indeed left us amused.

Let’s start with that moment when Vice Ganda got “asar-talo” from Vhong Navarro, who shoved it in her face that they were “talo” or losers. She retorted, “’Di ka pa sure,” since Jhong Hilario’s team had not played yet. And she apparently had manifested it as the latter indeed lost, which gave her the chance to take her turn of poking fun at them. 

In another episode, the Unkabogable Star was obviously not impressed when Vhong’s team got the perfect score of 5. Their asaran continued as initiated by the latter, with the two eventually joining forces in mocking Jhong after his group got lost again.

Vice then amused us with her reactions as if she was already ‘losing patience’ in bulilit reader Stephen as he repeatedly failed to guess that she’d been uttering “tablet,” which he was able to get afterwards. However, Vice was in a completely different mood in another episode as she displayed her “sobrang Latina” version when prodded by their co-hosts to say “pusod.” It was after she remarked that Jugs Jugueta did it wrong, thus bulilit reader Kulot failed to guess it.
