Several years later, they once again crossed paths and subsequently became partners-in-crime in taking back their beloved long-lost daughter and exacting revenge against the wicked Buenavidez family. They may have gone through a slew of setbacks and challenges that almost claimed their lives, yet they were able to conquer those and rekindle their romance. “Lavender Fields” concluded with Tyrone and Jasmin getting engaged and beginning their happily ever after with their unica hija, Camilla.

Bingo and Caroline, Can’t Buy Me Love

From making us kilig with their adorable petty fights and sweet moments in the earlier episodes of “Can’t Buy Me Love,” Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano went on to break our hearts in the latter part of the love story of their characters, Bingo and Caroline. Their altercations got bigger and more serious, especially when it was finally unraveled that they’d been connected by a bloody tragedy that transpired when they were still kids and forever changed their lives. Despite fighting for their love, the beleaguering issues of their family still took a toll on their relationship, which led to their breakup. 

In the end, Caroline and Bingo were able to prove that they’re indeed bigger than their problems and ultimately decide to stand by their love for one another and fulfill their dream of a peaceful life together, even in the face of his worsening health condition.

Jonaf and Baby, Pira-pirasong Paraiso

A criminal and a law enforcer falling in love with each other? It might be quite unthinkable, but that was what happened to Baby and Jonaf, the characters played by real-and-reel-life sweethearts Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte in “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.” As Jonaf finally learned that it was Baby’s adoptive brother “Kano” (Marcus Paterson) who killed his policeman father, yet she didn’t tell him about it, he was completely devastated. She tried to ask for his forgiveness, but to no avail, as Jonaf was really firm in calling it quits between them.

However, Baby and Jonaf were able to show in the end that their love for each other was stronger than any challenges that they confronted together. They didn't just reconcile and get back together, but he also proposed marriage to her, which she gladly accepted.

Andrei and Camille, Marry Me Marry You

Their relationship might have been smooth sailing ever since they became officially together, but things suddenly changed between Camille (Janine Gutierrez) and Andrei (Paulo Avelino) when the issues and hitches of their families had taken a toll on them and forced them to break up. 

But the couple was able to get through all the obstacles that they’d encountered along the way, including their misunderstandings, as well as help their families address their disputes, and had a merrily after marked with a gorgeous wedding by the end of “Marry Me, Marry You.”

Tupe and Rita, Init sa Magdamag

Even though they loved each other so much in their younger years, Rita (Yam Concepcion) decided to end her relationship with Tupe (Gerald Anderson) after she discovered his alleged involvement in the corrupt activities of his father, who’s associated with a government official. Since she couldn’t bear the idea that the money he used to pay for her hospital bills came from corruption, Rita thought that it would be better for them if she broke up with him. 

Years after his apparent disappearance, Tupe and Rita got reunited, with Tupe not only being the partner-doctor of the community projects that Rita and her husband Peterson launched but also their sperm donor. Peterson eventually unraveled the truth behind their past that ignited his rage and prompted him to carry out a slew of desperate acts to hinder their reunion. But he died in the end, allowing Rita and Tupe to rekindle their impeded romance and even get married.

These Kapamilya teleserye couples indeed attest that love can sometimes be worth giving another shot.
