Despite the flickering lights, Alice keeps her composure and manages to call for help.While waiting for rescue, Alice notices Scott’s anxious behavior and excessive sweating, and he eventually admits that he has just realized he is claustrophobic, sharing a childhood memory of trauma similar to Alice’s.Trying to help, Alice gives Scott a pen to hold and guides him through a grounding technique—something she also uses to cope with her own fear of the dark.Seeing its effect, Scott calls Alice his lifesaver.
