Back at Alice’s (Janella Salvador) house, she briefly glances at the police officer and her security guard talking outside before approaching Seth (Rhys Stevens), who is on a call with Scott (Mark Neumann). When she hears Seth mention the “scary man” who broke into their home days earlier, Alice takes the phone from him and speaks to Scott herself. Stern and concerned, Scott asks about the intruder Seth mentioned, but Alice brushes it off, downplaying Edong’s (Jake Cuenca) violent trespassing as nothing more than a nightmare Seth supposedly had. Still doubtful, Scott reminds her that he is also Seth’s father and therefore has the right to know their whereabouts—especially Seth’s. Answering Scott’s inquiry about the duration of their stay in the Philippines, Alice explains that it’s indefinite, though she has arranged with her firm to work remotely. Interpreting this as a form of kidnapping, Scott reminds Alice that they are in the middle of a divorce and that everything she does could affect the custody proceedings. Perceiving Scott’s explanation as a threat, Alice pulls back, while Scott wonders how their relationship deteriorated so severely and pleads with her to help him understand.
