Student leader from Lipa wins P500,000 jackpot on It's Showtime's Laro Laro Pick

<p>A student leader from the University of Batangas-Lipa City campus won the ₱500,000 jackpot from the &quot;Laro Laro Pick&quot; segment of ABS-CBN&#x27;s noontime program &quot;It’s Showtime&quot; on Thursday, October 23.</p><p>Marj, a third year college student studying Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, took on the contest&#x27;s &quot;Pot&quot; question about the first Filipina to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. </p><p>She won half a million pesos after giving the correct answer, Tony Award winner Lea Salonga.</p><p>&quot;Super thankful po ako. Kanina po I prayed so hard. Kasi biglaan po, hindi ko po alam kung ano ang mga question, super unpredictable po niya. Ginagamit ko po currently &#x27;yung nasa office na computer eh hindi naman siya nabibitbit pauwi,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;Tapos for educational tour, may educational tour po kami this November sa Ilocos. Tapos the rest of the money will go sa aking family, sa aking mother. Kasi may struggle din po kami financially,&quot; she added.</p><p>It was last July when it was announced that Salonga will get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining the Class of 2026.</p>
