"Crazy." That’s Rain Celmar’s favorite expression—whether she’s excited, surprised, or totally overwhelmed, you’ll hear her drop that word with all the youthful energy she’s known for. And true to her catchphrase, her story shows that nothing is too crazy for a Gen Z dreamer.

It's been months since Rain secured the title of 2nd Big Placer in “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11,” but life still feels crazy—or even crazier—now that she’s out in the real world, where everything seems to be changing so quickly.

"Paglabas pa lang namin, may nagsha-shout na ng 'Rain.' Sabi ko, 'Wow'! I was just a student before, eh, tapos ngayon people know what I'm doing na," she shared, adding that her newfound popularity motivates her to be mindful of her words and actions because she wants to set a good example for the youth.

One of the things people love about Rain is her strong family values, which were on full display for "PBB Gen 11" viewers. There was even a task where Big Brother announced that one of the housemates' parents had lost their job. Rain worried it might be her dad who works as a seaman. Thus, you can imagine her huge relief when she found out it was just part of Kuya’s challenge, and when she got to see her parents as Kuya’s guests inside the house.

Since her father works abroad, traveling becomes a special family affair whenever he’s home for a vacation. As the middle child and the only girl in a brood of three, it’s no wonder Rain has a bit of a boyish side. But while she may seem tough, she admits there’s one thing that makes her knees weak—calculus! And that’s actually what led her to audition for "PBB Gen 11."

As the story goes, she started to panic when she checked her grades and realized she might be in danger of failing her calculus class. Thinking she needed a backup plan in case things wouldn't go well, she decided to audition for PBB.

But her audition journey was just as challenging as her calculus struggles. She recalled that she was already around number 18,000 in line. Rain lowered her expectations, especially since she wasn’t even prepared. She had just woken up when a friend picked her up on a motorbike to head to the venue. With no time to get dolled up, she showed up practically in her 'pambahay' or loungewear. And when she arrived, she got even more nervous seeing the others in line bringing their A-game, as if everyone came to slay. She described the scene as full of “baddies,” aka totally lit and super hot auditionees.

Despite all that, she made it to the coveted Big Brother house. Rain was totally blown away by how things turned out, which is why she couldn't seem to live up to her moniker “Cheerful-Langga ng Cebu” on her first night in Bahay Ni Kuya. Her naturally jolly self was tamed by shyness and the overwhelming feeling of it all. But as the days went by, she grew more comfortable with her housemates—a mix of adults and fellow teens—and even found talking to Big Brother himself surprisingly therapeutic.

We got to witness Rain’s talent for music inside the famous yellow house. She’s not just a singer but also a songwriter, something she’s been doing for a while. So when Kapamilya news anchor Bernadette Sembrano asked her for a sample performance in this episode of "Tao Po," Rain happily obliged, singing a song she co-wrote with fellow ex-housemate Jarren Garcia. She even taught Bernadette some Gen Z slang words!

She had always dreamed of becoming an artist, but she never imagined, even in her wildest dreams, that stepping into the limelight was actually possible.

Now, the cool kid from Cebu is officially a Star Magic talent and a rising celebrity. But she vows not to give up on her studies.

It’s amazing to see how today’s youth, like Rain, are proving that even the craziest, most impossible dreams can come true as long as you have the courage to chase them.
