David (McCoy de Leon) and Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) have had some serious bad blood brewing between them in "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo," with their sibling drama escalating from heated arguments to all-out physical brawls. While sibling squabbles are never pretty, let’s be honest, David's arrogance and Santino’s loyalty to Tanggol (Coco Martin) have viewers choosing their fighter. And it’s pretty clear which side everyone's on, right? Let’s re-watch their intense clashes via this Kapamilya Toplist video.
We open this montage with David going behind their eldest sibling Tanggol’s back and snitching on him after Tanggol got into a street riot. Without even bothering to get the full story, David rushed to their father, Rigor (John Estrada), to report that the family's black sheep was in trouble and deserved to be punished. But Santino stepped up to defend Tanggol, saying David shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. However, David didn’t feel guilty at all. If anything, he was actually satisfied with stirring up chaos, and vowed to lock up both Tanggol and Santino himself in prison once he becomes a cop.
Things really heated up when Santino caught David stealing Tanggol’s money, which was supposed to go toward their grandma Tindeng’s (Charo Santos) bail. Santino called him out, and it led to a huge argument. The younger sibling tried to tell their mom, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) the truth, but David flipped the script, played the victim and gaslighted their mom with a bunch of made-up stories.
In the next scene, Santino got really annoyed seeing David all cheery after Tanggol was kicked out of the house. Then he caught him chatting on the phone with Camille (Yukii Takahashi), who he was still courting then. Santino couldn't help but mess with him, and threw in a mean yet satisfying remark, "Alam ba niya na malikot kamay mo?" Of course, that led to another heated verbal war.
Santino was again pushed to his limits when David called him names for worrying about Tanggol’s safety. The verbal sparring almost turned into a physical clash, had their Lolo Noy (Lou Veloso) failed to meddle.
But it was only a matter of time before they got physically violent. Santino confronted David for impregnating Camille and bringing her to their house as if they didn’t have enough problems. So, he tried to expose David, deliberately raising his voice so Camille could hear the real trouble David was causing and how he wasn’t the angel he was pretending to be. This led to an exchange of hard blows. Camille tried to meddle, but David forcefully pushed her away, causing her to bump into a chair and suffer from bleeding.
Viewers then cheered for Santino when, one morning before leaving for his secret criminal dealings, David told him to stop siding with Tanggol because all he does is bring trouble to their family. He even suggested that Santino should idolize him instead. But Santino wasn’t having any of it. He knew exactly how to get under David’s skin, saying that at least Tanggol isn't pretending to be a good guy, unlike David, who is more dangerous because he acts like an angel but is really a devil when no one's watching.
The two nearly killed each other when a fight broke out at their house because of some enemies, but David wasn’t around, so Santino made sure to rub it in David’s face just how useless he was as a family member. Of course, this triggered David, leading to a brutal fight where it looked like they were about to kill each other, especially when David tried to throw a heavy figurine at Santino. Thankfully, Santino dodged it. The fight kept going despite their mother trying to intervene.
Follow where the bad blood between David and Santino will lead in "FPJ's Batang Quiapo," weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
