Lito Lapid has been in the local entertainment scene for around five decades now, more popularly known for his notable performances in action films. And after starring in a slew of movies, he eventually ventured into television, with “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” being his latest and ongoing project, where he plays the role of Supremo “Primo” Medina, as well as one of its stunt directors.

Many of the granddads, uncles, and daddies—generally men who belong to the Boomer generation and older—out there probably had missed watching him in action. Thus, it was probably a delight for them to see Lito in almost every episode of the aforementioned series, through which he’s able to astound us with his formidable chops not just in dramatic acting, but most especially in doing death-defying stunts, although he’s already a septuagenarian in 2025.

Let us look back on some of the intense and thrilling action scenes of his character in the series that proved why he’s undoubtedly one of the legendary action stars in the country of all time.

Primo’s action-packed journey in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” basically started with plotting to exact vengeance on his nemesis Augustus (Julio Diaz), the debauched policeman who sent him to jail many years ago by setting him up in one of their syndicate’s missions. And his goal to topple him down further heightened upon learning the whole truth from Amanda (Lorna Tolentino), the woman who sparked their never-ending strife since they both want her for themselves and to absolutely finish one another. 

Aside from keeping Amanda away from Augustus and plotting his next move against his mortal enemy—even at the expense of his and his group’s safety—he also extended help to Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his friends whenever they got in trouble. They even became one team and fought enemies together until their upsetting fallout due to the misunderstanding between Amanda and Divina (Rosanna Roces).

In every action-packed encounter that Primo is in, Lito is able to showcase his awesome and unbelievable flair in action, which includes death-defying stunts, sliding through long tables, jumping from a higher place to the ground, throwing punches and kicks, and handling guns. We also get to see some of his signature moves, which we used to commonly witness in the old films that he starred in many years ago.
