"Who are you when no one's watching?" This was the question "Lavender Fields" posed when it began airing last September, and as the narrative unfolded, we saw how each character wore masks every day to hide their true motives. 

For lead star Jodi Sta. Maria, this question is one she’d like to leave with viewers as the series comes to a close—one that we all hope her character also finds an answer to. 

"Hindi naging madali ‘yung journey ng buhay niya. Napakaraming masasaklap siyang pinagdaanan pero ginawa niya ang lahat para mabawi kung ano 'yung sa kan'ya. Nagtagumpay siya doon sa gusto niyang ma-achieve," she said about Jasmin Flores, a barrio lass who wore the mask of ‘Lavender Fields’ in her quest for justice.  

The making of the series was far from easy, which is why the cast members and the entire team feel a sense of fulfillment hearing positive feedback that viewers appreciated the action-drama project they worked hard on.

"I only have gratitude in my heart na nagustuhan ng mga tao'yung in-offer natin para sa kanila," she said. "It's always been a prayer na sana magustuhan ng mga tao 'yung pinaghirapan natinkasi hindi naging madali 'yung proseso sa paggawa ng ‘Lavender Fields.’”

One of the things Jodi is most proud of about the ensemble cast is their top-tier teamwork. "Magandang memories 'yung babaunin ko," she smiled. "Makikita mo naman talaga 'yung camaraderie ng lahat. Mas gumagaan 'yung trabaho 'pag meronkang mga kasama na alam mong katuwang mo. Laging nando'n'yung pag-uusap to make sure na nasa isang pahina kaming lahat."

And as the trending teleserye reaches its ending, Jodi, signing off as the empowered Lavender, leaves one final message for her character: "I'm proud of you, girl!" 

But the tension in "Lavender Fields" is not yet calming down. Jodi promises that there will be no shortage of action-packed surprises and twists until the finale episode, which will air tonight on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
