Lily Atienza, played by Jolina Magdangal, is arguably one of most beloved characters in “Lavender Fields.” Even though she tends to do things that are quite mean or irrational due to her loyalty to her best friend Iris Buenavidez (Janine Gutierrez) and her dad, Vitto (Edu Manzano) because of all the help that they’d given through the years, she has remained admirable.

But aside from being a dependable friend, Lily is also regarded as a doting and devoted mother to Camilla (Janell Gonzaga) although she didn’t come from her wombs and they’re not even related by blood as it was later on revealed that the young girl is the long-lost daughter of Iris’ rival, Jasmin Flores (Jodi Sta. Maria). 

Now that Camilla is already reunited with Jasmin without her knowing it that she’s her real mom, not to mention that she already had an inkling about her real identity, let’s look back on some of the scenes that showed Lily being a devoted mom to Camilla in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist. 

Despite being a careerwo-mom, Lily has still managed to juggle her duties at work and at home and be a hands-on parent to Camilla, with Lance doing his fair share of responsibilities as well as a responsible dad. Since they’ve filled her with love and attention, especially because she’s their unica hija, Camilla has grown to become a kindhearted, respectful, and appreciative girl. 

She’s willing to share her toys with her best friend Angel and knows how to say “thank you” without being told to do so whenever someone did or said something nice to her, like her Mommy Lily who doesn’t only take good care of her but also bakes her favorite cupcakes. 

Camilla is also filled with gratitude to her Ninang Iris, who has helped their family in many ways, like when she got sick and Iris donated blood to her that extended her life, as well as to her “Tita Lav” when she asked her if she could bring whatever she wanted on her next visit to their house and Jasmin promised to heed her request. 

Being a true mother that she is, Lily has always prioritized Camilla's well-being and made sure she's comfortable, whether that be emotionally, mentally, or physically. Sometimes, though, it was put to the test as she strongly disagreed with Lance's request that they leave the country before anything horrible could happen to them, particularly to their daughter.

After the untimely demise of Lance, which made her realize that they’re indeed no longer safe here, Lily had a change of heart and finally decided to fly abroad, telling Camilla that they would only go on a vacation. Although it was going to be difficult for Camilla to accept and comprehend what happened to her dad, Lily still told the young girl with utmost care and affection. She even decided to bring her to the office not just because the little girl didn’t want to be left at home, but because Lily also wanted to watch over her. 

As Camilla watched the confession video of Lance through which she learned about her true identity, Lily couldn’t help but get hurt upon hearing from her daughter her shocking discovery that she’s not her real mother. It also apparently broke her heart that she needed to lie to Camilla right on her face so that she could keep her under her wing since it would be too hard for her to let her go.
