Her name might make you think of cloudy skies, but Rain Celmar is all sunshine—always laughing and spreading good vibes wherever she goes. Behind her bubbly energy, though, this Cebuana is just a teenager learning to find her rhythm in life, with her own share of worries and fears, which she opens up about in this episode of “Kuan On One,” the Bisaya talk showhosted by Melai Cantiveros. She also gets candid about her “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” experience, her dream roles, and the power of manifestation.

First things first, Rain is over the moon that her random wish to guest on “Kuan On One” has finally come true—proof, we’d say, that she’s got some manifesting abilities. There was a day inside Bahay Ni Kuya when, while cleaning the windows, she casually told her housemate-turned-BFF Kai Montinola, “Sana makapag-guest tayo sa ‘Kuan On One.’” Fast forward to today, and here they are! “Ang iniisip ko no’n habang naglilinis kami, ‘Ano kaya ang future?’ Naalala ko, si BINI Aiah nag-guest dito. Basta naaalala ko na sobrang masaya ng makausap ka,” she shares with Kuantie Melai, in Bisaya.

Speaking things into existence has been a trend among Gen Z. While she’s not entirely sure how the ‘law of attraction’ hype started, she knows one thing for sure—positive thoughts attract positive outcomes.

This, she believes, was the same mindset that carried her through her Calculus class back in school. And now, she’s got a new dream she’s hoping to manifest, which is to thrive in showbiz.

Rain used to perform in school, and now she’s looking at those experiences as the training ground for her bigger dream of performing on a bigger stage. Now that she’s taken the first step toward her dream of becoming a performer by joining Star Magic, Rain says she’s game for anything. However, she thinks a horror rom-com would be a different kind of fun, since she’s easily scared and puts the "com" in rom-com.

From there, Kuantie Melai asked her to choose who among KD Estrada, Donny Pangilinan, and Robbie Jaworski she’d want to be a loveteam with. She picked the latter, whom she saw at the BINIverse concert. When asked if she thinks he’s cute, she responds with her trademark Bisaya squeal, “Gwapo!” She’d also probably get ‘kilig’ working with Joshua Garcia and James Reid, as she couldn’t stop fangirling when she saw the two heartthrobs at the Big Night.

That’s Rain—always laughing and spreading good vibes. But beneath her cheerful demeanor, she’s still a teenager trying to navigate life’s ups and downs, and she has her fears too.

“Natatakot din ako na mawala ako sa showbiz. Kaya nagfo-focus ako sa mga paraan para hindi mawala dito. Gusto ko kasi ‘to at nag-e-enjoy ako,” she admits. With that being said, Kuantie Melai advises her to always trust God’s plan because, even if her showbiz journey doesn’t last, there’s no need to be scared as God always has better plans for them.

Rain went on to relive her “PBB Gen 11” experience, especially the friendships she built. While some might think the nominations could ruin their bond, Rain shares that, in reality, they actually became closer when Big Brother revealed the reasons behind each housemate's nomination votes. After all, she didn’t take it personally because she knew it was all part of the game.
