What dream did you have that already came true? If you need something to inspire you to work on your goals today, here’s Kolette Madelo, “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” 3rd Big Placer, proving that one can turn their fantasies into reality.

We all know by now that becoming a PBB housemate was a dream come true for Kolette. And ever since she set that goal in her heart, the turn of events has been nothing short of surprising, and blissful. All these, she believes, happened because she’s sure of what she wants.

Joined by her fellow Big 4 members, the Cebuanas Kai Montinola and Rain Celmar, in an episode of Melai Cantiveros' Bisaya talk show “Kuan On One,” Kolette shares her thoughts about the ‘manifestation’ trend among Gen Z, saying that she, too, has a successful story of manifesting her dream to become a PBB housemate. She says that she started to visualize her ‘PBB journey’ after she auditioned in her hometown in Gen San, “Ginawa ko lahat. Ginawa kong wallpaper ang Bahay Ni Kuya, nag-download ako ng theme song ng PBB tapos pinapatugtog ko sa CR, sumasayaw ako.”

Whether you believe in the universal laws or just think Kolette used her dream to stay motivated, one thing is clear—her methods worked!

What she didn’t expect, though, was to have legions of supporters before and after leaving the “PBB Gen 11” house. During the Big Night, apart from gushing over James Reid and Joshua Garcia, she remembers mostly hearing loud cheers for her fellow Big 4 members, Kai and Rain, and their batch’s eventual Big Winner, Fyang Smith, through the monitor. This made her wonder if she had fans rooting for her, too.

“Pero paglabaas ko, may malaking tarpaulin na ‘KOLETTE’ ang nakalagay, 'Ha? Meron pala?' Sobrang na-shock ako dahil ang daming supporters namin,” she recalls.

Kolette’s next goal is to become a total performer, like her favorite star, Sarah Geronimo, which isn’t really impossible, not because she relies on anything magical, but because of her talent and determination. Besides, PBB followers have already seen Kolette’s potential to become a great artist when she co-wrote songs with her fellow housemates and delivered an amazing performance during their musical task inside Bahay Ni Kuya.

But if a little visualization can help her get there, then why not play out your dream life in your head, right? Kolette shares that she was able to watch the phenomenal girl group BINI perform live and was so amazed and inspired that she imagined herself someday being the one on a big concert stage, cheered on by a huge crowd.

Before PBB and joining showbiz, though, the goal she was manifesting was to finish a Bachelor’s degree, specifically in Marine Biology, as she was only able to get a vocational course related to aquaculture. Fun fact: Kolette and Kuantie Melai share the same alma mater.

While her education has to take a backseat for now, Kolette is not letting go of that aspiration. In fact, she’s already taking the first steps toward it, which is saving up for tuition.

Back in her hometown, Kolette already knew how to appreciate the little things in life. For her, simple moments like laughing and chatting with her cousins were more than enough to make her happy. These memories are among the fondest from her childhood.

Now, as a new celebrity, she admits that life isn’t as breezy as it was when she was younger. With the public constantly watching her every move, she knows there will be moments of criticism and misinterpretation. But she’s confident in her ability to handle it. She also promises to give her all in any gig or project that comes her way. After all, she understands that nothing in showbiz is guaranteed, so she’s making the most of every opportunity.

Kolette is open to anything when it comes to roles or co-stars, or even with the possibility of working with a loveteam partner. But when Kuantie Melai asks her to choose among Kyle Echarri, Coco Martin, and Seth Fedelin, with a shy look on her face, Kolette picks the latter. As someone naturally funny and a fan of all things horror, Kolette also thinks it’d be exciting to star in a horror-comedy project someday.
