Angel mentions the late Robert Arevalo, whose voice she describes as thunderous. The experience was even more daunting as they were working together on an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” Meanwhile, Christian remembers being completely starstruck by Boots Anson-Roa, the first big star he had the privilege of working with.

While Mylene wasn’t exactly intimidated, she was in awe when she shared the stage with the comedy legend Dolphy during an ABS-CBN Christmas Special production. She knew Dolphy would appear with the other stars, but nothing could have prepared her for that breathtaking moment. Mylene found herself frozen on stage, staring at Dolphy in his white suit, "Pagpasok niya, everybody tumingin lang sa kanya. Siya talaga 'yung star!"

Benjie can definitely relate, and his most unforgettable starstruck moment was with Eddie Garcia. Everyone who has worked with Eddie has fond stories about him arriving on set two hours before the call time, and Benjie was fortunate enough to witness this dedication firsthand and have insightful chats with the action-drama legend.

The "How To Spot A Red Flag" senior stars were also asked about the first time they had difficulty letting go of their emotions after an intense scene. Mylene vividly remembers working on "Calvento Files: The Movie" where she played the sister to the victim who was drowned after a sexual assault. There was a scene where Mylene's character was shown photographs of the victim's body getting pulled from a well where it had been dumped. Since the story was based on real events, she was shown actual photos of the victim, making the scene feel all too real and chilling, so much so she struggled to move on after director Laurenti Dyogi called "cut." She looks back, "Mga isang oras akong pinatakbo, pinag-face the wall, lahat na pinagawa sa akin ni Direk Lauren kasi hindi ako ma-console."

Remember that scene from "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" where Aya Fernandez’s character, Dr. Audrey Mante, was killed, and her severed finger was sent to her family, with Christian playing her father? Christian shares that he felt the heaviness of the scene after he went home that day, and even asked for some alone time to process everything. "Weird na experience for me kasi madali naman ako maka-let go. Pero n'ung time na 'yun, parang ang hirap na hindi ko ma-explain. Siguro mga ilang days rin, umuupo lang ako sa kwarto tapos may music na malungkot,” he recalls.

Meanwhile, Angel admits that she still finds it challenging to let go of emotions after a scene even now, and one of the most intense she recently experienced was in "High Street." For viewers, one of the most heart-wrenching moments in the said series was when Andrea Brillantes' character, Sky, was shot and died in front of her mother, Tanya, played by Angel. It turns out that Angel had authentic reactions during that scene.

"No'ng nangyari kasi 'yun, nakita ko yung pag-jerk n'ya nu'ng binaril siya. Tapos pagyakap ko sa kanya, na-feel ko 'yung blood sa likod niya, it felt so real to me," she reminisces. Adding to the organic pain she felt were her dialogues as Tanya spoke to her dying daughter. "Siguro mga thirty minutes na I just kept on crying. Lahat ng mga co-actors ko in that scene, lahat sila dinulugan na ako para lang tulungan ako mag-ease out of the crying," shares Angel, adding that the scene struck her deeply because, as a mother in real life, she completely put herself in Tanya’s shoes.

Benjie also couldn’t forget a particularly heavy scene he did for MMK, where he found himself still crying even after the director called it a good take. He needed two bottles of beer afterward to help himself cool down and get over his character’s anguish.

While some heavy scenes are difficult to shake off, these seasoned actors have learned over time how to let go of their characters once a show wraps up. They’ve mastered the art of detachment, which makes it easier for them to move on as time passes and focus on their next roles.
