On February 19, 2025, the Official Philippines Chart was launched at The Clubhouse at The Palace BGC. The event was attended by top names in the OPM music scene. Aside from celebrating this initiative for championing Filipino artistry, it also served as a great opportunity for Filipino musicians to mingle and enjoy time together outside of work.

BINI and TJ Monterde’s “Palagi” topped the charts as Top Local Artist of the Year and Top Local Song of the Year, respectively.

There was a positive vibe going all evening, with the OPM artists taking the chance to relax and catch up with each other. Everyone showed support and appreciation for each other’s talent, applauding performances and the recognition given to their peers.

The Nation’s Girl Group BINI, who bagged the number one spot of the year’s Top 10 Local Artists, performed their latest single, “Blink Twice”. The song, whose official music video already surpassed 3 million views in just a few days since dropping, will be part of their lineup for their upcoming BINIverse World Tour.

Still on a high from his 3-day sold-out Sarili Nating Mundo concert, TJ Monterde was also present to serenade everyone with his hit song, “Palagi”.

To keep the celebration going, there were also performances from Suyen, dwta, Nior, Xyvril, and One Click Straight.

The Official Philippines Chart is an industry-backed weekly music chart showcasing the top-performing tracks from local and international artists in the country based on streaming across all major platforms.

“With the transparency and visibility provided by The Official Philippines Chart, we now have a clear picture of who is resonating with our audiences, who is breaking barriers, and who is truly making waves in the music scene. This data is critical; it provides insights that can help us understand the ever-evolving landscape of our industry,” explained Roslyn Pineda, General Manager of Sony Music Entertainment and Board Member of the Philippine Recorded Music Rights Inc (PRM), a music licensing organization of producers and performers of sound recordings that aim to give credit where it is due and distribute royalties directly to artists and labels.

The chart refreshes every Tuesday at www.officialseacharts.com, as well as on the social media accounts of the Official SEA Charts. Aside from the Official Philippines Chart, other countries in the Southeast Asia region that also have their own charts include Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Being part of this is a win for the local music industry and its goal to bring Filipino talent to the international stage.

“These charts will offer valuable insights and recognition for our local artists, supporting their career growth and reinforcing the Philippines’ position as an influential player in the global music scene,” stated Sarah Ismail, Warner Philippines Interim Managing Director and PRM Board Member.

Aside from PRM, The Official Philippines Chart is also supported by IFPI, which represents over 8,000 record company members across the globe. It also has the support of BMAT, a music innovation company that aims to index all music usage and ownership data, making sure that artists get paid for their plays.
