Synopsis 

Sari, an eccentric woman haunted by a curse that she believes makes every man she loves disappear, lives a simple life in Tahanan Homes, afraid to form any romantic connections. Everything changes when she meets the heartbroken Jolo, who badly wants to disappear. Sari's hilarious and desperate intervention sparks a connection between them. Intrigued by Sari's curse, Jolo sees this as an opportunity to escape his pain by making her fall in love with him.  

In the midst of his pursuit, the two start falling for each other for real! Afraid that this is just another disaster waiting to happen, Sari distances herself from Jolo but he is not letting her not love him that easily.  

Will this love story confirm Sari’s worst nightmares, or this time, will they both discover a love that will never disappear?

Aug. 12, 2024: During a New Movie Alert segment of the noontime show “It’s Showtime!” in its Monday episode, it was announced that mainstay host Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino will finally star in their first movie together, titled “My Love Will Make You Disappear”. 

Dec. 10, 2024: The official teaser was first revealed during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2024 at the Araneta Coliseum. 

Feb. 12, 2025: Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino unveiled the movie’s poster to press people and several lucky supporters during their intimate official poster launch and fan meet, hosted by Shanaia Gomez, with castmates Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, Migs Almendras, Martin Escudero, and Karina Bautista. 

Feb. 19, 2025: KimPau answered fans and the press’ questions during the “My Love Will Make You Disappear” media conference, where they were also joined by castmates, the creative team, and director Chad Vidanes.

Feb. 19, 2025: Twelve special film posters for the international release of “My Love Will Make You Disappear” were unveiled as well during the mediacon and released by Star Cinema in social media. The posters cover the following countries and regions: Australia and New Zealand; Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei; the United States and Canada; Guam and Saipan; Hong Kong and Macau; the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Malta; Finland; France; Italy; Middle East; Austria; and Cambodia.

March 5, 2025 (in the U.S.): “My Love Will Make You Disappear” stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino arrived at Los Angeles for the Manila International Film Festival where they participated in activities and answered questions about the movie. 

March 9, 2025: Star Cinema released the second trailer, a director’s cut for “My Love Will Make You Disappear”.

March 25, 2025: “My Love Will Make You Disappear” had its world premiere night at SM Megamall, attended by the film’s cast, creatives, Star Cinema executives, and warmly supportive fans.

March 26, 2025: “My Love Will Make You Disappear” opened nationwide in Philippine cinemas after its successful world premiere. 

March 27, 2025: Thanks to the massive support of fans and moviegoers, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” garnered P12 million on its first day in over 380 cinemas nationwide. The movie thus received the highest opening-day gross for a local film in 2025. 

March 29, 2025: Kim and Paulo personally accepted certificates of recognition from the California State Assembly for their remarkable work in the Philippine film industry. The commendations were dated March 29 and signed by California 65th district assemblymember Mike A. Gipson. 

March 30, 2025: “My Love Will Make You Disappear” sent fans and moviegoers’ hearts soaring on its first weekend, and made P40 million in the local box office as of March 30.  

March 31, 2025: After a strong weekend, as of Monday, March 31, KimPau’s “My Love Will Make You Disappear” has earned P100 million in worldwide box office sales.

May 7, 2025: As of this date, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” has raked in P173 million in worldwide gross, as reported by ABS-CBN News.
