MANILA — Queen of R&amp;B Kyla has reconnected with fans through an intimate live performance shoot, marking a new chapter in her career as she prepares to release a deluxe edition of her comeback album Next Episode.“It’s been 7 years since I last released an album. So last year, we released an album called &#x27;Next Episode&#x27; and I missed singing for everyone na ganito ka-intimate yung setting and especially singing my own songs from my album,” Kyla said.Reflecting on her long hiatus, the singer shared how some tracks had been recorded years earlier but were delayed due to the pandemic. “We actually recorded some of the songs like Trust Issues and Bring Your Jacket in 2022, I think. Tapos medyo nagdelay-delay because we were just starting to get back on our feet after the pandemic. So nagkaroon ng delay, but I’m just really grateful na natapos namin siya last year, and we came up with a lot of beautiful songs, and we even made it more special kasi we are going to release a deluxe version of the album with a few more tracks, including &#x27;Tulad ng Dati&#x27; which is a song I sang kanina, and I miss singing those types of feel-good na songs,” she said.Kyla teased that fans can expect fresh material and collaborations in the upcoming release. “Aside from including Tulad ng Dati, we’re also including more songs for this album na hinahanap ko pa… and may collaboration rin with some artists na I feel that you’ll find exciting, kasi ako nae-excite na,” she added.The deluxe edition of “Next Episode” signals Kyla’s renewed presence in the music scene, blending her signature sound with new creative partnerships while reconnecting with audiences through heartfelt performances.
