MANILA -- After two decades in the industry and years of living abroad, singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal is coming full circle with her first-ever solo concert -- a landmark gig at the Araneta Coliseum.

"New Ground," for Nadal, is both a homecoming and a celebration of her growth as an artist. Best known for her timeless hits such as "Same Ground," "Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin," and "Bulong," Nadal promises an emotional and musically rich night featuring both her classic songs and brand-new tracks that reflect her evolution.

"Of course we will be playing the classic hit songs, and of course new songs — that's why we called this concert New Ground," Nadal said in an interview upon her arrival in Manila.

Now based in Madrid, Spain with her husband and two sons, Kitchie revealed that it took 20 years for her to finally feel ready to take on a solo concert of this magnitude.

"For the past years kasi I have always thought na hindi ako ready for it. And I think now, for so many years, we've already developed the songs in a way that we could really perform it live. I guess yung gusto ko talaga na music… napako din ako sa sound nung aking first album which is very rock. In this concert, they'll see how my music has evolved over the years," she said.

"The crowd is also ready for that. The generation now is different — artists today are more experimental and people are more open to hearing new sound."

Joining Nadal on this special night are a powerhouse lineup of guest performers including Zild, KAIA, Skusta Clee, and more surprise artists set to celebrate her milestone with fans.

Alongside her concert, Kitchie is set to release a new EP with seven tracks, combining fresh material with reimagined versions of her iconic hits.

"For the past few weeks, we've been releasing the songs one by one. Some of them are from the first album, but re-recorded in a new style," she said.
