In a press release, Kitchie described the show as “anything but your typical Kitchie concert.”

“New Ground is all about me exploring a new direction in my music career,” the “Same Ground” singer explained.

“You can expect fresh music, new collabs, and an even bigger experience than what we shared at New Frontier Theater," she added. The theater was the venue of her 20th Anniversary concert held in 2024.

She teased that the show will feature surprise guest performers and genre-blending numbers.

“What I’m most excited about are the new collaborations—especially with guest artists I’ve never worked with before. We’re doing something really out of the box this time, mixing genres and creating moments that are totally unexpected, something fans definitely haven’t seen from me yet,” she expressed.

This concert will also mark Kitchie’s first time headlining a solo show at the Araneta Coliseum in her two-decade-long career.

“It’s my first time headlining at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, so I’m really thrilled! I’m super thankful to everyone who made this happen, and of course to all the people who’ve inspired us to bring this show to life,” she stated.

Kitchie also shared how inspired she feels by both long-time fans and the new generation of listeners.

“We’ve had such an amazing response at our concerts over the past few years, especially from the younger crowd. Their energy kind of inspired us to put together New Ground,” she shared.

In 2024, Kitchie celebrated her 20th anniversary in the music industry with a concert at the New Frontier Theater. She performed with fellow OPM icons such as Barbie Almalbis, Aia de Leon, Lougee Basabas, Hannah Romawac, Acel Bisa, and Monty Macalino of Mayonnaise.

“(The concert) serves as a celebration of Kitchie's monumental journey in the local music scene as one of the biggest-selling and most influential Pinoy rock figures from the early 2000s, after launching her multi-platinum self-titled debut album, to the present where the multi-awarded singer-songwriter remains relevant among the current generation,” a press release detailed.

Kitchie also told PUSH ABS-CBN that the renewed popularity of her classic songs on social media has inspired her to keep creating.

“It's encouraging for me to write songs and nagugulat ako kasi it resonates to the now, to the new generation. Like I said, one of the reasons why na nagkakaroon kami (ng tour)... Nagugulat din ako na yung mga nanonood mga bata. It’s really encouraging for me to continue making music,” she said.
