“Healthy.”

This is the one-word description of Alamat when asked about the status of their relationship with other P-pop groups.

Alamat member Aaron Joshua Mitchell, popularly known as Mo, revealed that the bond he has with other P-pop groups goes beyond what the public sees.

“Ako po [nakakalaro] ko po sila ng basketball,” Mo told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview, sharing a glimpse of their shared interests aside from music.

Alamat named some of the groups they developed connections with which include 1st One, SB19, Horizon and Press Hit Play.

Throughout their four years in the industry, this P-pop group had collected some fruitful collaborations with other prominent artists in the music industry, truly embodying the so-called "P-pop rise."

One of the notable collaborations they had was with SB19 where they danced together to their respective hits “Maharani” and “Kalakal” in 2024.

In the exclusive with PUSH ABS-CBN, Alamat also discussed how their group’s bond has evolved throughout the years, relating it a popular Filipino dish.

“Parang abodo, patagal nang patagal, pasarap nang pasarap,” said Ralph Joseph Lim or R-Ji when asked about the status of their relationship within the group.

He also added: “Mas natututo po kami lagi sa isa’t isa.”

For Aaron Joshua Mitchell, popularly known as Mo, the challenges they encountered as a group made them strong.

“Pinagtibay din po kami (ng panahon). We’ve been through a lot sa loob ng four years, and sa mga pinagdaanan namin na challenges, ‘yun ‘yung nagpapa-strong sa group, as in intact kami ngayon,” he elaborated.

Meanwhile, Justin Paolo Canlas, popularly known as Jao, revealed how their group has been dealing with mentally and emotionally draining days as artists.

“Parang nilalaro lang namin, Jao said. “The challenge is there, but we have each other. We just laugh it off and then move on. [We just tell ourselves:] ‘I-dogshow nalang natin, laban ganon na sana sumakses tayo.’”

Championing Filipino culture through music, Alamat revealed to PUSH ABS-CBN their most memorable experiences in the past four years.

It includes their 2023 performance at the FIBA World Cup and their 2024 performance at Palarong Pambansa which, according to them, were special as both performances gave tribute to Filipino culture.

But they clarified that they value every performance they have had in their career.

Alamat is a six-piece P-pop group which was launched on February 14, 2021. Other members include Taneo, Tomas, and Alas. They celebrated their fourth anniversary this year.
