Social media’s favorite London boy and Pinoy Big Brother alumnus Jarren Garcia recently released his first-ever music video for his track "Gimme Gimme Gimme" from his self-titled album.

During the launch, PUSH ABS-CBN had the opportunity to talk to Jarren, who reflected on the sultry R&B vibe of the song.

“They were definitely trying to reach out more and trying to push boundaries more of what music should be like. I'd say, there shouldn't be any limitations to music. It's whatever you want to portray to the public, whatever you feel, you shouldn't be afraid to portray it through your music,” Jarren emphasized.

The rising star also shared how hands-on he was in the making of the music video, but admitted to feeling shy during filming.

“I'd say, super hands-on with this with this music video. At first lang, medyo nang awkward lang ako to, like, dance around in front of the camera. It's super new to me. And then, after, I'd say, a few hours, I softened up, and everything worked out. Everything went great,” he shared.

Apart from "Gimme Gimme Gimme," Jarren also revealed how his song "Hits Different" truly resonates with him too.

“One of the most personal for me is ‘Hits Different.’ It's my only song in the album which contains Tagalog lyrics. And it just feels like I'm connecting more with my Filipino roots. And right now, that just makes me feel so good. That I'm still able— even though I'm singing in English—I'm still able to incorporate my heritage in my songs,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Jarren couldn’t help but express his gratitude for all his celebrity friends who went out of their way to attend his music video launch. These included fellow Pinoy Big Brother batchmates Kai Montinola, Jas Dudley-Scales, JP Cabrera, Binsoy Namoca, and Jan Silva. Also present at the event were BINI’s leader Jhoanna Robles and rising P-pop group GAT member Ethan David.

“It's so insane because I came to the Philippines with no friends. And now, I have quite a few friends. And knowing that they're all busy, they all have their own things going on with their hectic schedules, they still took the time to come here and support, and still support in the background. I super appreciate it, and I love when artists help lift up other artists,” Jarren shared.
