Kai of K-pop boy group EXO returned Monday with his highly anticipated fourth extended play (EP) "Wait On Me," marking his first comeback since completing his mandatory military service.

The seven-track EP was released alongside the music video for its title track, which prominently features the song's choreography, interspersed with scenes of Kai in a desert under a bright sun.

Label SM Entertainment described the single "Wait On Me" as a pop track infused with Afrobeat rhythms, according to a report from news agency Yonhap.

The EP also includes the pre-release singles "Adult Swim" and "Walls Don't Talk."

"Wait On Me" is the 31-year-old idol's first album since completing his military service in February and follows his third EP, "Rover," released in 2023.

Apart from the comeback, Kai is also gearing up for his solo concert tour, "KAION," which is scheduled to make a stop in Manila on July 27.

Debuting with EXO in 2012, Kai, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, has captivated fans with his exceptional dance skills. Beyond the stage, he has also made his mark in the fashion world, becoming a global ambassador for Gucci in 2019.

Behind his cool and charismatic image, Kai is also known for his endearing and quirky personality, often showcased in variety shows. Earlier this year, he took on a new role as the host of the YouTube-based series "Jeongwaja" (Changing Majors), where he visits different universities and immerses himself in a new academic program each episode.
