From an aspiring artist to a successful singer-songwriter, Jeremy Glinoga’s rise to fame was truly a leap of faith.

Jeremy, who began his journey at The Voice Teens in 2017, recognizes that his faith plays a major role in his now thriving career.

Fondly called “Jeremy G,” the singer-songwriter asserted that without faith, success is simply impossible to achieve.

“I think, para sa akin, one is to one. If you don’t have faith, parang it’s gonna be hard to have a lasting career, lalo na in the music industry kasi everything is so up and down,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview.

“You never really know how music is gonna work, how the industry is gonna react sa mga kanta mo. So, you have to keep a strong faith in order to do what you want and do what you wanna be able to do sa music industry,” he added.

As the Lenten season commenced, Jeremy has an invitation to everyone: “Just remember what holy week is all about.”

The singer-songwriter said in the same interview that he had no concrete plans for the holy week.

“So far wala pa akong plans kasi ayun nga, mag-isa ako dito sa Pilipinas eh. My family is over there in the U.S. So ayun, keeping contact with my family, and if may plans sa labas, game ako,” he said.

Jeremy admitted that it was difficult to sacrifice the time he should be spending with his family as continues to navigate his career.

“It is so hard lalo na kasi dati, before pandemic and everything, nandoon si mommy para sa akin. So, ‘pag umuuwi ako sa bahay, I know I have her to talk to and to vent to. Eh ngayon wala,” he said.

“So, it just made me have a strong connection with them and then, it showed me how to be more grateful for what sacrifices they’ve done for me,” he added.

In a 2024 interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Jeremy revealed that he plans to focus more on himself this 2025.

“Something that I learned is to love yourself,” he said. “Hindi ko nagawa ‘yun dati at ngayon ko lang na-appreciate to love myself more and work on myself,” he said.

According to him, the plan includes writing more songs that reflect his personal experiences.

“Binanggit ko kanina na I’m focusing on myself, so that includes me writing songs for myself naman,” he said. “Kasi this year, andami kong na-release na kanta but for other artists. I was producing for other artists; I was writing for other artists.”

Out of the six songs in the newly released EP of the rising P-pop group 1621, Jeremy wrote two of them: “Stuck” and “Secret.”
