With the remaining BTS members scheduled to complete their mandatory military service by June, HYBE has shared updates on what fans can expect from the group moving forward.

"The members of BTS are going to finish their military duties within the first half of this year and return to their activities," HYBE CEO Lee Jae-sang remarked as per report by Korea JoongAng Daily.

HYBE has already started reaching out to songwriters. "But they need time to prepare for their music. We are in talks with top-tier songwriters but the artists also need time to think and prepare themselves," Jae-sang pointed out.

When asked about the next BTS tour, he replied: "A tour date is usually set after [an artist] finishes their music."

Jae-sang also highlighted the importance of aligning the group's comeback with the members’ creative goals and vision.

"Since BTS members have already marked themselves as global artists, we are consistently talking about the next step and their visions, which means that we will also need to think about our strategies in accordance with that direction," he stated.

Jin was the first BTS member to complete his mandatory military service and was discharged on June 11, 2024. Following the completion of his enlistment, the K-pop star held a fan event at Jamsil Arena and took part in the Summer Olympics torch relay of South Korea in Paris.

Jin also released his debut mini album, Happy, in November 2024.

Meanwhile, J-Hope completed his service on October 17, 2024. He launched his first solo tour, Hope On The Stage, in February in Seoul.

He brought the tour to Manila, performing for two nights on April 12 and 13.

"Maraming salamat talaga. Sana nag-enjoy kayo ngayong gabi. Siyempre babalik ako," he told his Filipino fans during the first night of his concert through his interpreter.

The remaining BTS members V, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, and Suga are scheduled to complete their military service by June this year.
