MANILA - True to his promise, Korean-pop artist Jay B delivered a fired-up concert performance during the Manila leg of his "TAPE: RE LOAD" tour on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Armed with suave R&B vocals and sultry yet powerful dance moves, the GOT7 leader gave fans a succession of stages from his dynamic discography.

Jay B started the night with a soulful delivery of "Present," which, he said, was his gift to fans who have supported him throughout.

He then picked up the tempo with "Fountain of Youth," "BTW," "FAME," "Livin,'" and "The Way We Are" -- a mix of tracks from the extended plays "SOMO: Fume" and "Be Yourself."

"The heat is off the roof tonight," Jay B said, appreciating the shrieking "ahgase" (name of GOT7's fandom) in a packed SMX Convention Hall in Pasay.

For the next round of performances, Jay B gave a preview of what he promised as the "more sexy" version of himself.

Indeed, swerving a little from his usual fun and funky sound and his "b-boy" image, Jay B treated the fans with the calmer and sexy vibe of his "Archive 1: [Road Runner]" tracks, including "if you," "Chosen," "Make Me Right," "Take it easy," and Crash."

"Archive 1: [Road Runner]" was Jay B's first full album, which he released in November 2024 after completing his mandatory military service in South Korea.

But the surprise of the night came when Jay B went out on stage with a provocative black ensemble coupled with seductive choreography and vocal performances of "In To You" and "AM PM."

He even joked during one of his "ment" with fans that "We are not GOT7, we're HOT7" -- a nod to how members of his band have started showing off muscles since they embarked on their respective solo promotions.

Meanwhile, Pinoy ahgase started teasing Jay B with a fanchant that sounded like a mix of dog bark and a war-call.

"I wonder why. Because I'm hot?" he said.

"This sound is only for me. You guys shouldn't do this in any other places, okay?"

Jay B went all out, performing over 20 songs in a nearly three-hour concert.

But just before he ended the night, he could not help but show his vulnerable side.

He admitted that he was very concerned when he was performing for the concert while thinking what's next for his journey as an artist.

"I'm actually very curious at the end of this tour, what would my status be. Of course, I'm definitely going to be hotter," he said, mixing his message with a joke.

He admitted to having some "negative thoughts," but explained that he decided to share this, not to spread the "negative" but to show people how he is able to overcome them.

"Going to the conclusion, when I see you guys enjoying the show and having a happy moment while watching me perform on the stage, I think that is the most fruitful thing to me. That's the conclusion that I have," he said.

"You know before coming up to the stage, I was kind of thinking with fear and excitement. At the same time, also like, 'how can I do, what should I do.' But after I heard your cheers and saw you guys smiling, I said, 'okay, this is it.' I really had so much fun tonight."

Jay B concluded the concert with a party atmosphere, dancing around the stage, dousing people with water, and egging the fans to dance with him.

He gave his fans a remixed version of his songs, including "FAME" and "Crash."

And just like his bandmates, he indulged ahgases with some of GOT7's hit songs, like "Page," "Go Higher," and "Before the Full Moon Rise."

"Compared to the concerts that I've had, I think I had such a grateful and fun time with you, guys," he said.

"Whenever I'm coming back here in the Philippines I'll make sure that I'll bring a lot more fun and sexier so please look forward to it... Mahal ko kayo."
