“Siguro mas marami na rin kasi tayong na-eexperience once na tumatanda tayo. Kaya mas marami rin kami pwedeng input and connect din sa music namin, sa mga future songs,” he said.

JL reflected on how time has passed, recalling how they were once seen as newcomers in the industry.

“Dati kasi, every time na may nakakasalubong kaming tao, ay, ang babata nyo po pala! Tapos ngayon, parang kami na ‘yung mas matatanda so nakakapanibago. Pero yan, gano'n talaga ang buhay,” he stated.

On March 13, BGYO released their self-titled album, featuring five tracks, including “Trash” and “Divine.” The group collaborated with several songwriters, producers, and international creatives during a music camp to craft their new sound.

Looking back on their creative journey, BGYO shared that it took time to complete the album as they experimented with different styles.

“We were trying to experiment kung anong sound would really work and we felt very confident sa new sound namin this EP,” Mikki said.

He added, “Iba-ibang genre po siya pero when you hear it, you can hear that distinct BGYO sound. So usually, when we release something po, mayroon kaming mga meetings. We have listening sessions and mga batuhan lang ng ideas kasama po din ‘yung label namin, ‘yung BGYO management, and of course, us.”

Akira also emphasized their collective decision to embrace a more mature sound while maintaining their signature wholesome image.

“Regarding doon sa leaning towards maturity ng BGYO, I think nag-agree kami lahat, even the management na parang it's time nga kasi nga, we're getting older na nga rin. So, it's time to be more mature pero wholesome pa rin talaga,” he explained.

“Tao naman po kami lahat. So, may mga times po talaga na we feel that way,” Mikki said. “Yung feeling na (it) will teach us a lot on how to improve ourselves, o paano namin iha-handle ‘yung gano'ng situation.”

Nate continued, “Ang pinakasolution siguro namin every time nakakaramdam kami ng mga negativity is kailangan lang talaga intact kami as a group. Kailangan nandyan kami para sa isa't isa, kasi kapag mag-isa ka lang na dinadamdam mo ‘yan, ‘pag sino-solo mo, matatalo ka talaga.”
Nate continued, “Ang pinakasolution siguro namin every time nakakaramdam kami ng mga negativity is kailangan lang talaga intact kami as a group. Kailangan nandyan kami para sa isa't isa, kasi kapag mag-isa ka lang na dinadamdam mo ‘yan, ‘pag sino-solo mo, matatalo ka talaga.”
Akira agreed, saying, “Good thing din po kasi through experience po dun sa four years na naging BGYO kami, nagkaroon kami ng mga ideas on how to improve nga. So, nagkaroon kami ng mga batuhan ng ideas on how to improve our socmeds or how to promote our songs.”
