K-pop girl group STAYC embraced a new image as they made a comeback with the single album "S."

Released on Tuesday, "S" marks a shift for the six-member group as they step away from their bright and bubbly image, adopting an edgier aesthetic.

Sonically, the sextet also veered away from their signature bubblegum pop sound, focusing more on club-ready beats and R&B influences.

The three-track package is led by "Bebe," a funky house song about defying stereotypes and embracing one's true self, according to a press release.

The collection also features "Diamond," an R&B track infused with Afro rhythms that urges listeners to let go of their fear of the future, and "Pipe Down," an R&B song highlighted by catchy brass sounds.

Consisting of Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J, STAYC debuted in November 2020 under High Up Entertainment, the label founded by the hitmaking K-pop producing duo Black Eyed Pilseung.

Over the years, the group has garnered attention through bubblegum pop singles such as "ASAP," "Teddy Bear" and "GPT."

In February, STAYC performed at Waterbomb Manila, which marked the first time the popular music and water festival was held in the country.

The group is set to kick off its "Stay Tuned" tour with a two-day stop in Seoul on April 12 and 13.
