<p>Singer-songwriter Jarlo Base is eager to expand his music career as he officially signed with ABS-CBN’s talent arm, Star Magic, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.</p><p>During a press conference with other newly signed artists, Jarlo expressed his excitement about working with other singers and songwriters in the industry.</p><p>“I&#x27;m really excited. Definitely syempre nandoon ‘yung kaba, kind of worried na mame-meet ba ‘yung expectations, magagawa ba ‘yung kailangang gawin. And this is, I would say, my first major agency management. Although may mga record label na ako na I signed with before, this is the first management talaga na ganito kalaki,” he added.</p><p>Speaking about collaboration, one artist he hopes to collaborate with is BINI member Colet Vergara, who has played a special role in his career.</p><p>“Doon sa collaboration namin, siguro una sa lahat, tatanungin ko kung anong gusto niyang music, ano ba ‘yung gusto niyang pag-usapan. So I really like that about her,” he said. “Siguro ‘yun, pwede naming mapag-usapan. Makakasulat kami ng kanta at matulungan natin ‘yung mga tao na makaintindi at maintindihan.”</p><p>During his performance on Star Magic Music Room, Jarlo received a surprise video message from Colet, warmly welcoming him to the Star Magic family.</p><p>“Naalala ko dati may time na tinanong ako online ng mga recommended songs ko and ang naging reco ko ay isa sa magagandang awitin mula sa isang mahusay na singer-songwriter,” Colet shared in the video message.</p><p>She went on, “Ngayong nalaman ko po na magiging parte na po siya ng Star Magic family and natutuwa po ako dahil alam ko pong mas lalong marami pa pong makakrelate ng songs niya at makikilala po siya. And I think napaka-importante noon kasi sa dami ng mga nangyayari online and offline, kailangan na nating magkaroon ng malaking control sa nararamdaman natin.”</p>
