MANILA -- Clara Benin, GABBA, and Kakoy Legaspi are special guests of OPM singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao at his first solo concert "Liwayway at Dapithapon" this weekend.

The concert will be happening on March 14 and 15 at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila. 

According to a press release, Benin and GABBA will be performing on the first day of the concert, while Legaspi will reunite with Danao on his concert's second night.

According to minsan studio head Jason Conanan, all the guests were handpicked by Danao. “Each of them has played a crucial part in his music journey, both as collaborators and real-life friends,” he said.

The upcoming concert, which is celebration of Danao's 25th anniversary in music industry, will also feature a 15-piece orchestra conducted by Ria Villena-Osorio.  

Conanan also introduced a special promo specifically for students who have been supportive fans of Danao’s music. “They are the most active fans. Most of the time they have limited financial capacity to do so, that’s why we came up with an initiative to show appreciation for their efforts,” he said.

“We started out with pay-what-you-can gigs and we find that people value these experiences differently. A student’s P100 may be their savings for the day while to an adult, that’s just another coffee. This is our way of helping bridge that gap,” he added.
