Up and coming P-Pop group GAT is ready to conquer the music scene with their fresh vibes and chill music. The quintet is the latest musical group that Viva Artist Agency officially debut with the help of Ivory Music.

GAT is composed of Ethan David, Charles Law, Michael Keith, Derrick Ong, and Hans Paronda.

Despite only training together for eight months, the members all agreed in unison how close they’ve gotten. Ethan, who serves as the group’s unofficial leader, expressed how he personally sees them as his brothers already.

“To think na meron akong mga kapatid dito––mga brothers ko. Yun yung nagpapagaan ng loob sa akin kahit anong lungkot ko,” he shared.

GAT is shortened for Gawang Atin ‘To–– will make sure to bring the Pinoy pride wherever they go. The group’s name was also made to honor the Filipino word Gatdula which was given to Filipinos who brought pride to the country back then.

The group’s name was personally chosen by Vic del Rosario, the founder and CEO of VIVA Entertainment. He was also the one who chose the members of the up and coming talented P-Pop boy group.

While they haven’t made their official debut just yet, GAT has already released two singles–– "Huwag ka Nang Humirit" and "Daleng Dale." They currently have more than 190,000 monthly listeners on the music streaming platform, Spotify, as of this writing.

All members have proven to be more than just a pretty face and good singing skills as they also star in the hit web series, Ang Mutya ng Section E. Fans of the show have come to love the roles of GAT which translated to them tuning into the group’s pre debut singles.

When asked about their goals once they make their official debut, they want to hold their own world tour in the future–– making sure to bring their own brand of Filipino music.

Meanwhile, they maintained that they will be different from their brother P-Pop group, ALAMAT, for whom they have high respect. They aim to bring back the fresh music that was popular in the 2010s and something that “you’d listen to on a road trip.”

GAT is set to make their debut in the near future as they hinted at their upcoming debut single.
