BTS member J-Hope is finally coming to Manila for his highly anticipated two-day concert, HOPE ON THE STAGE, set to take place on April 12 and 13, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Before he sets the stage on fire, here’s a list of some of his must-listen tracks to get you hyped for the show.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Released in September 2019 through Big Hit Entertainment, this track features American singer Becky G and is a remake of the original 2006 song by Webstar and Young B.

J-Hope, who danced to the original track while learning to dance, felt a deep connection to the song. In a past Naver live broadcast, he shared why he wanted to include it in his mixtape.

“I thought it was a track that can really express who I am. You know how ‘Hope World’ contains a lot of my own color—I did what I wanted to do. And ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ is the kind of music I wanted to do too, and I kept feeling sorrow over it,” J-Hope said, as per Soompi.

The track incorporates English, Spanish, and Korean lyrics

Animal

“Animal” is a powerful hip-hop track that showcases J-Hope’s raw energy and dynamic rap skills. It was released during BTS's pre-debut days and was written by HYBE Corporation founder Bang Si Hyuk

This song highlights J-Hope’s early artistic style, blending intense beats with an aggressive flow.

More

From his debut solo album Jack in the Box, “More” is a rock-infused hip-hop track that showcases J-Hope’s artistic growth and individuality as a soloist.

As the first single released before the full album dropped, it gave fans a darker, more intense side of J-Hope, marking a significant shift from his usual bright and energetic persona.

On the street

This heartfelt song blends lo-fi beats with meaningful lyrics, featuring American rapper and record producer J. Cole.

“On the Street” serves as a tribute to J-Hope’s artistic journey, reflecting his love for street dance and hip-hop. It was also a farewell gift to fans before he enlisted for his mandatory military service in April 2023.

NEURON

Featuring legendary Korean artists Gaeko and Yoon Mirae, "NEURON" is a track that highlights J-Hope’s deep appreciation for old-school hip-hop. The lyrics reflect on what motivates the artists and the thing that drives them forward.

A fun fact: while serving in the military, J-Hope shared a dance cover of "NEURON" in his uniform.

“You can do it in just 3 minutes!” J-Hope wrote as translated into English by Instagram.

Arson

Another hit from Jack in the Box, “Arson” is a fiery hip-hop track with intense beats and thought-provoking lyrics.

The song portrays J-Hope standing at a crossroads, contemplating his choices while facing the pressures of fame and success.

Ddaeng

A fan-favorite track featuring BTS’s rap line (J-Hope, RM, and Suga), "Ddaeng" is a diss track that claps back at the group’s critics.

Released as part of BTS’s fifth-anniversary celebrations, the song cleverly plays with Korean wordplay and metaphors while showcasing J-Hope’s sharp flow and versatility as a rapper.
