MANILA -- TJ Monterde just wrapped up his three-night sold-out concert "Sarili Nating Mundo" at the Araneta Coliseum, making history as the first male solo Filipino act to sell out three straight nights at the Big Dome.

Monterde was obviously emotional throughout the almost three-hour show. “Nung kinakanta ko yung ‘Ikaw at Ako’, paglabas ko nakaganun na lang ako, lutang lang talaga ako. So grateful, about what’s happening. I’m just taking each day as it comes. Kung anong meron, pag sinabi ni Lord na ‘chill ka lang muna’, chill muna ako,” he said.

“First night, six 'yung nag-propose. Kahapon was four, kasali dun 'yung gitarista ko na si Macoy, 'yun ang alam ko, siya 'yung kilala kong nagpropose sa lahat. Kanina ang pinakamarami, hindi ko na mabilang,” he said.

“I don’t really know how to feel. I’m so proud of this show. Pinaghirapan namin ito lahat. Puro collaboration ito, Direk John (Prats), the band, everybody, ang saya lang namin lahat. Doon ako pinaka-happy,” he said.

"Sarili Nating Mundo" will go to Davao on March 1, and will tour the US and Canada for the month of March, to be followed by a Philippine tour.
