Nina x Maki soon?

Nina expressed her interest in collaborating with "Dilaw" singer Maki in an interview with Bianca Gonzalez on the TFC show BRGY.

"Sobrang tuwang-tuwa ako. So narinig ko yung 'Dilaw,' I watched the singer behind 'Dilaw.' I saw him sa isang variety show, I think ASAP ata. He was singing 'Dilaw,' tapos sabi ko, 'Siya pala 'yon, akala ko K-pop.' So I turned up the volume” Nina shared.

She went on, "Ang galing niya, parang siya yung matagal nang kumakanta. Magaling, magaling siyang singer.”

Bianca even called out to Maki, saying, "I don’t know if he knows, but Maki, if you’re watching this, Nina wants to collaborate with you." To which Nina responded, "I hope soon, Maki."

In the meantime, the Diamond Soul Siren is gearing up for her much-awaited pre-Valentine concert next week, titled Love Matters.

In this concert, Nina is set to offer something new to her supporters.

"I think I’ll be including some Wicked songs, so it’s very relevant. I don’t know if this is the first time I’ll be singing Broadway songs in a concert, but I’ll try, I’ll try," the singer shared.

She went on, "No particular reason at all, I just want to try it out lang. Kasi sa mga concert ko, I want to try something new, something different."

Aside from the setlist, Nina is proud of the theme of her latest concert, calling it a special offering for her fans.

"Because love matters in everyone, it’s a concert about different kinds of love, because hate doesn’t matter. Love matters” she explained.

This is also a tribute to her fans, who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, according to Nina.

Nina explained, "Siguro kasi sila rin yung nagse-shape ng pagkakaroon ng drama behind all the songs that I have, na parang lahat ng songs ko binibigyan nila ng drama, 'This is the soundtrack of my life.' Sila ang nag-iintroduce ng songs sa mga tao."

The Love Matters Pre-Valentine Concert will be held on February 8 at the New Frontier Theater and will be directed by John Prats.
