(UPDATE) K-pop boy group BOYNEXTDOOR is off to a strong start this 2025, releasing on Monday the digital single "If I Say, I Love You."

The song, co-written by members Woonhak and Taesan, explores the aftermath of a breakup, blending self-deprecating lyrics with an energetic, band-driven sound.

"The beauty of this track lies in its naturally flowing structure. I hope listeners can really feel that flow. As a breakup song from the perspective of a younger generation, every part stands out with its own unique charm," Woonhak said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the accompanying music video features the story of a young boy who develops six distinct personalities after being deeply impacted by the heartbreak of his failed confession.

In a joint statement, the group said they wanted to show "a fresh new narrative" after displaying a confident and bold image through their previous extended play (EP) "19.99," released in September.

Notably, "19.99" is BOYNEXTDOOR's first record to sell over a million copies.

The sextet — also consisting of Jaehyun, Sungho, Riwoo and Leehan — is set to embark on its "Knock On Vol. 1" tour beginning late January.

The tour also includes a stop at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on March 22, which will be BOYNEXTDOOR's second visit to the Philippines after attending the 2023 Asia Artist Awards in Bulacan.

Debuting in May 2023, BOYNEXTDOOR is managed by KOZ Entertainment, a HYBE subsidiary led by rapper-producer Zico. The group has attracted fans with their catchy, youthful pop sound, which occasionally incorporates rock elements, showcased in singles like "One and Only," "Earth, Wind & Fire," and "Nice Guy."
