K-pop boy group KickFlip in the video for their song 'Umm Great.' Screenshot from video on JYP Entertainment's YouTube channelJYP Entertainment, a major player in the K-pop industry, unveiled late Sunday its newest boy group KickFlip with the release of the music video for their song "Umm Great."

The company originally planned to release content for KickFlip on January 1, but this was postponed after South Korea's entertainment industry paused activities to mourn the victims of the Jeju Air plane crash.

South Korea observed a national mourning period, which concluded on Saturday, due to the Dec. 29 crash that claimed 179 lives and left only two survivors.

"Umm Great" serves as the pre-release single for KickFlip, who are set to officially debut on January 20 with their extended play "Flip It, Kick It!".

KickFlip is JYP Entertainment's newest Korean male idol group, following Stray Kids, which debuted in 2018.

Founded by veteran singer-songwriter Park Jin-young, JYP Entertainment is home to several popular idol groups, including 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, and NMIXX, as well as the rock bands DAY6 and Xdinary Heroes.
