MANILA -- OPM singer-songwriter TJ Monterde is still in disbelief after selling out his “sarili nating mundo” 3-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum, set for February 1-3, 2025.
Originally planned for just one night, Monterde was overwhelmed by the support he received from fans.

"Originally, one night lang talaga... When we did February 1, it sold out in hours. Then day two sold out, and finally, day three. Doon na nag-sync in. Pag nakatingin ako sa salamin minsan [iniisip ko,] parang tama ba ‘tong ginagawa ko," Monterde said.

"Last year, we did New Frontier Theater on May 5 and 6. Doon pa lang, parang ano na ako — I never really thought of having a concert. Sa totoo lang, hindi ako ‘yung type na artist na gustong mag-concert. I’m a singer and a writer by heart, and feeling ko 'yun talaga 'yung pinaka-strength ko. Doon ako nag-flourish, and that’s where I’m most happy," he said.

He credited his wife, fellow OPM artist KZ Tandingan, for pushing him to step out of his comfort zone and urged him to do a concert.
