Prior to the concert announcements, Cup of Joe released their highly anticipated sophomore album, Silakbo on January 17.

In a press release, the album expresses “a different sound compared to their previous ‘Patutunguhan’ EP and is already creating buzz as a musical masterpiece that promises to tug at the heartstrings and stir emotions.”

It also explores the “five stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance—through a masterfully crafted tracklist.”

The album contains 10 tracks such as “Bagyo,” “Wine,” “Kanelang Mata,” “Bubog,” “Siping,” “Pahina,” “Multo,” “‘Di Maaari,” “Hinga” and the title track “Silakbo.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, band member Raphaell Ridao shared his thoughts on the album.

“Because this is our first major album, we wanted to do something different. Mga previous songs namin very energetic, pero this time we wanted to be very emotional, very raw. When we look at the songs we created, it was natural to come up with an idea expressing our journey through music and life. This is a compilation of what we experience and our collective raw emotions.”

Vocalist Gian Bernardino expressed how the album and upcoming concerts have strengthened their connection with fans.

“Having the opportunity to connect with our fans through this album and these concerts feels like a dream come true,” he said in a press release.
