The 29-year-old singer, whose full name is Jennie Kim, made the announcement by sharing a teaser photo on her X (formerly Twitter) account.

On her YouTube channel, Jennie also shared a 33-second album trailer, revealing that the record includes collaborations with Childish Gambino and Dua Lipa.

The album also features Doechii, Dominic Fike, FKJ and Kali Uchis, based on the trailer.

"Ruby" will include 15 songs, including the single "Mantra," which Jennie released last October, according to a report by the Korea JoongAng Daily, citing a statement from the singer's agency Odd Atelier.

Jennie debuted in the K-pop industry in 2016 as a member of Blackpink, one of South Korea's most successful girl groups, whose songs have topped charts both domestically and internationally.

The quartet is also known for being the first K-pop girl group to top the US Billboard 200 chart and first Asian act to headline popular music events like Coachella.

In 2018, Jennie debuted as a soloist with the single "Solo."

Jennie is also set to perform at Coachella in April.
