MANILA -- Makati City welcomed 2025 with a New Year’s Countdown concert featuring some of the biggest names in the Philippine music scene.

The highlight of the night’s festivities was the "Nation’s Girl Group" BINI, who thrilled the crowd with their chart-topping hits, setting the tone for a lively and unforgettable 2025.

The night was extra special as Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano, made his return to the stage after being hospitalized last week during his concert at the Araneta Coliseum. In an emotional moment, Gary reflected on his recent health scare.

“Sabi nila dapat mag-slow down na si Gary kasi yung nangyari sa akin last week, grabe. Hindi pa nga natapos yung concert ko sa Araneta Coliseum. But it was not about me wanting to do the concert—it was about me being called to do the show. So I don’t want to end this year simply entertaining all of you. I know it’s nice to be entertained, but I want you to take home more than when you leave.”

His performance was both moving and electrifying, a testament to his enduring spirit and passion for his craft. Valenciano also performed on stage with his son Gab Valenciano.

Rapper Gloc-9 also took the stage, energizing the crowd with iconic hits such as “Upuan,” “Simpleng Tao,” “Sirena,” and more. His powerful lyrics and dynamic presence were also a highlight of the evening, drawing cheers from fans of all ages.

The Pinoy band Lola Amour also delivered a stellar performance, with the crowd singing along to their hit songs. They closed their set with the crowd-favorite “Raining in Manila,” which had the audience swaying and singing in unison.
