Kapamilya singer-songwriter Maki turned emotional during the second and final day of his Maki-concert sa NFT last November 30 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. The "Dilaw" hitmaker expressed his gratitude towards his fans for turning his dreams having a solo concert into a reality.

Maki’s almost three-hour concert showcased his raw emotions on his humble beginnings to his new journey as a musician.

He opened his show with his hit song, "Namumula," to the delight of his fans present at his sold-out show. He mixed this hit song with one of his songs, "Sigurado," which showcased from the very start his amazing vocal prowess.

The stage was designed to be like Maki’s home–– fans were made to feel relaxed as if they were just jamming with him.

Maki continued performing some more of his songs such as "Halaga" and "Kurba" before introducing the first guest to sing with him. The singer-songwriter’s guests–– Sitti, Angela Ken, Nameless Kids’ Nhiko, and Ebe Dancel–– were all instrumental to his growth as a musician.

Apart from playing his songs, the Kapamilya singer performed Kitchie Nadal’s "Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin," Taylor Swift’s "Cruel Summer," and LANY’s "Out Of My League," among others. Fans were in for a treat as well as they were one of the first people to have a listen to his two unreleased tracks.

Meanwhile, Maki turned emotional recalling his past experiences before becoming the star he is today. He recalled having to audition for several competitions but being unable to make the final cut.

“Hindi ko aakalain na mangyayari and I’m just really really glad na I’m here… Ilang beses ako nag audition, ilang beses napaparamdam sa akin na ‘ah kaya niya’ pero parang hindi para sa kin talaga yun. Nag try ako mag audition sa The Voice Teens dati… di ako nakaabot sa final round–– hindi ako nakaabot sa TV,” he recalled.

He continued to express his gratitude towards everyone who showed their support–– from his management to his fans.

“Gusto ko lang po mag pasalamat sa inyo kasi tinulungan niyo po ako matupad ang mga pangarap ko–– ang mag solo concert… Thanks to all the people na tumulong sa akin along the way,” he added.

Maki assured everyone present at the venue that he will continue becoming a singer-songwriter that everyone could be proud of supporting.

“Mga taong mahal ko sa buhay hindi ako iiwan. I’ll make a promise to you guys tonight na hinding-hindi ko rin kayo iiwan. I’ll continue making music,” he promised.

His successful day two ended with him singing his two hit songs, "Dilaw" and "Saan?," to the delight of the  fans present at the New Frontier Theater.
