MANILA — The December 22 show of OPM icon Gary Valenciano at the Araneta Coliseum will push through, production and talent management company Manila Genesis announced Sunday.

Manila Genesis in a statement posted on Gary V's Facebook account said the Day 2 of "Pure Energy: One More Time" concert "will be pushing through."

"I will be at the Araneta today. No weapon formed against me will prosper," Gary V was quoted as saying.

"Thank you everyone for your prayers, especially our DEC 22 ticket buyers for your patience and understanding," Manila Genesis said.

"We apologize for any inconvenience during the standby for this announcement. The decision of Gary came with much prayer. We will see you later tonight 8PM at SMART ARANETA COLISEUM for Gary V PURE ENERGY One More Time!"

The first night of Gary V's "One More Time" concert was cut short on Friday due to a medical condition.

DAY 1 CONCERT DELAYED

His wife Angeli Pangilinan said Valenciano's condition delayed the Day 1 of the concert but he still went on with the show, with doctors on standby backstage.

"He ingested something and vomited so many times in the last two hours. He wasn’t sure he could do this concert. The doctors were backstage and he had an IV … and he said he wants to do it! But he has since sang six songs.. changing the repertoire … please continue to pray," said Pangilinan.

Valenciano failed to finish his concert. Midway through the show, his team decided to bring the singer to the hospital.

According to Pangilinan, her husband was seriously dehydrated after he ate or took something that caused him to throw up multiple times.

He was discouraged from doing the show but insisted on performing.

He did about eight songs and asked the crowd if it was okay for him to end the show early.

Valenciano later assured his fans that he was okay.

"Hey guys I'm getting better. Good people taking care of me. I'll be okay, don't worry. God bless!"
