In a video posted on YG Entertainment's YouTube channel, the company's founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk said Treasure would drop a pre-release single titled "Last Night" on December 5.

Following this, the 10-member group is set to release an extended play in February 2025, with plans to put out a full-length album by July or August.

"This time, Treasure will be showing a somewhat unique concept, different from before. I can say it's quite a significant change," Yang said via subtitles when asked about the group's new music.

Yang explained that the group's previous singles such as "King Kong," "Bona Bona" and "Jikjin" were "powerful and intense songs."

"This time we are dialing back the intensity, allowing for the expression of these guys' honest emotions and creating music that can reach you all in a more comfortable way. That's the kind of album we're preparing," he said.

New leaders, tour

Yang also announced that Treasure would have new leaders, following a "suggestion to rotate the leader every two to three years."

Starting January 1, 2025, members Junkyu and Asahi will take over the leadership roles from the current leaders, Hyunsuk and Jihoon.

He noted that Treasure, which last went to Manila in May for their "Relay Tour [Reboot]" tour, is also expected to embark on a new world tour in October.

In the same video, Yang mentioned boy group Winner's plans for a world tour and reiterated that Blackpink would kick off another world tour in 2025.

Yang also hinted at the possibility of launching new artists. "There are quite a number of trainees that are waiting for their debut. As for the specific debut dates, I will provide further details at a later time," he said.
