MANILA -- Gary Valenciano's children will share the stage with him during his "Pure Energy: One More Time" concert, set for December 20 and 22 at the Araneta Coliseum.

It's a repeat of his successful "Pure Energy: One Last Time" concert last April at the Mall of Asia Arena, and will also be a homecoming of sorts for the OPM legend whose first concert was at the Big Dome, back in 1984.

Paolo, his eldest son, will be directing the show while Gab and Kiana will perform with him on stage.

Already, his kids are anticipating an "extra emotional night," according to Gab.

"This is one of the things that we grew up watching my dad, performing with my dad and the idea of it being the last, especially this one 'One More Time', this is going to be memorable. Bittersweet," he added.

"I think it's gonna be more energetic. It's gonna be a reunion and also a goodbye and a celebration of the holidays and the year that has passed," said Kiana, for her part. "It'll feel like coming home for him."

The concert is expected to be Gary's last in a major venue, though his children believe that "Mr. Pure Energy" still has a lot left in the tank.

"But I also feel like he deserves this rest. He deserves this time to reconfigure what he wants to do and how to move forward. I feel like he's moving into a different realm now where it's mostly gonna be paving the way to other artists," said Gab.

"It's exciting and nakaka-sad din. I can never imagine a world without Gary V. But again, he deserves the rest. He's 60 years old. Alam kong hindi halata, but he is 60 years old and he wants to do other things," he added.

"It's sad, but I honestly don't think it's the last. Baka in the denial lang ako. Kasi yung last time, last time na yun eh. Tapos eto one more time. Baka in denial nga lang ako," said Kiana.
